Konami have shared more details on the Xbox-exclusive Raiden mission in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, which will see the cyborg ninja infiltrating the Cuban containment camp in the game.
Raiden is tasked with investigating a “bio-robotic incursion” and is dropped on the periphery of the camp. The bioroid presence he’s looking for are “Snatchers”—who disguise themselves as marines and take over people’s bodies. Since Raiden is a cyborg and has no human body to “snatch,” he’s best suited to this particular assignment.
During gameplay, the Snatchers produce an inhuman X-Ray when you tag them using Ground Zeroes’ marking system. As Raiden, you need to eliminate them while avoiding detection by the humans charged with guarding the camp.
Additionally, Konami have revealed that, in the U.K., Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be available both as a download and at retail for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game will cost £39.99 at retail, or can be downloaded for £29.99. In North America, the next-gen versions of the game are so far only confirmed to be download titles.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will release on March 18th in North America and March 20th in Europe for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
