Shovel Knight has you playing as the Shovel Knight character himself. When Shovel Knight’s lover, the Shield Knight, gets herself in trouble, he sets out to rescue her from the Enchantress and the game’s eight Mega Man-style bosses.

In addition to the Shovel Knight, you’ll also be able to play through the game as three of these bosses as well. Just which ones is being decided upon by community vote.

Shovel Knight is slated for release this winter on PC, Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.
