Time is always ticking away in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. Lightning only has thirteen days to save the world and that includes the Moogle Village. Moogles, led by Mog from Final Fantasy XIII-2, moved into a deep forest and Dryads, trees that sprouted wings on their back, have been preying on them.

Lightning can freeze time during missions using the Chronostasis ability. This consumes EP (Energy Points), which are used to activate healing spells or her Lightspeed skill during battle. Chronostasis will be useful in missions that are timed like this delivery quest where Lightning needs to drop off medicine, but if Lightning rests at an inn or rides a train Chronostasis will be deactivated.
