Last week, the developer of Pokémon, Game Freak, teased a new collaboration game featuring a silhouette of a mysterious creature and the words, “That popular game that is played around the world, will be reborn in a surprising collaboration!”
Now, Game Freak has officially announced the game—Soliti Horse, a 3DS eShop game that combines Solitaire and horse racing. Game Freak point out that this will be their first self-published title.
As you are racing, you switch between the Solitaire Phase and Control Phase. By playing Solitaire, you deepen your bond with your horse and give them more power. In the Control Phase, you draw lines on the touch screen to guide the horse. Once you reach the final spurt, you must use the item cards you collected along with your whip to propel your horse to the finish line.
As you race, you will also raise your horse and be able to share it with other people using QR codes.
Soliti Horse will be released on the Japanese Nintendo e-Shop on July 31 for 500 yen. Were you hoping for something related for Pokémon? Look at the bright side… if you guessed My Little Pony, you weren’t too far off the mark.
