Nintendo’s most helpful hero, Chibi-Robo isn’t in the graveyard of forgotten Nintendo characters! Photography With Chibi-Robo was just announced for Nintendo 3DS and if you have a Japan region 3DS you can get it now.
Photography With Chibi-Robo is part Pokémon Snap and part Animal Crossing museum manager. Players help Chibi-Robo take pictures of real world objects and match them to silhouettes. You need at least a 60% match to make Chibi-Robo pop out of the object and add it to the Museum of Nostaobjects (that’s a portmanteau of nostalgia and objects). The game takes place in the future and in the present world people want to see objects from the past and Mr. Kancho wants to create a museum for this purpose. Now it’s up to Chibi-Robo, Tonpi (a smartphone-like character), and Chibi-Chibi (an even tinier robot) to find those objects.
Nintendo also announced The Denpa Men 3, a continuation of Genius Sonority’s series, slated for release on August 7. Photography With Chibi-Robo brings back familiar characters like Space Hunter Drake Redcrest and new friends for mini-games. Photography With Chibi-Robo costs 1,500 yen ($15). Both games are Nintendo eShop downloads.
