Phantom Breaker: Extra is an "super" version of Mages’ fighting game with rebalanced gameplay, a new Extra fighting style, and a handful of new characters – pun intended. Ende, who is from the Schrödinger Space-Time patrol group brings a giant robot named Nataku into battle. A mech vs. human fight wouldn’t be fair, so Nataku shows up as a giant metal hand.
Famitsu also revealed three more characters in Phantom Breaker: Extra. You can play as:
Sophia, a Fu-mantion Artifact made by the Russian Science Academy that despises Phantom (the mysterious man who promises to grant the winner a wish).
Shizuka, a former senior official that worked for Phantom who wants to bring Japan back to its militarism dogma.
Gaito & Rin are a team, but Rin, a 6 year old girl, controls Gaito, an anti-soul that is brimming with power.
Phantom Breaker: Extra is slated for release on September 19 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
