Youkai Watch Gets Animated, Whisper The Ghost Has A Surprisingly Deep Voice

Sakura New Town looks like an ordinary town, but unseen to most humans are mythological Japanese characters called Youkai living with them. Keeta, the protagonist, finds the Youkai Watch and meets Whisper, a friendly ghost-like creature with a deep voice. After putting on the Youkai Watch, Keeta sees Youkai everywhere. Some spirits like Jibanyan are friendly. The cat-like creature is one of Whisper’s buddies, but some Youkai are causing problems. Keeta can use the Youkai Watch to summon youkai to take out troublemaking youkai.

Youkai Watch is slated for release on June 11 for Nintendo 3DS.
