Looks like Fantasy Life is next on Level-5’s localization list. The publisher behind Professor Layton and Inazuma Eleven filed a trademark for Fantasy Life in Europe.
Level-5 has a habit of filing trademarks in the West before releasing games. See: Inazuma Eleven Strikers, three of Guild 01’s games, and pretty much every Professor Layton game.
Mother 3 developer Brownie Brown made Fantasy Life, a mix of a simulation game and a role playing game. Players create an avatar, pick a "life" like miner, fisherman or magician, and then set out to explore a monster filled world.
Fantasy Life came out on December 27 in Japan and the game flew off store shelves. Shortly after the game’s launch, Level-5 said there was a shortage of copies on the market. The question is will Nintendo which published Professor Layton and Inazuma Eleven handle Fantasy Life or will Level-5 release the title on their own like Guild 01.
