Final Fantasy V is headed to smartphones in Japan later this month, according to a report at FF-Reunion.
Squaresoft’s 1992 Super Nintendo hit will getting a 2D visual upgrade in its upcoming Smartphone port. The main feature of the smartphone version is the new touch screen controls.
Previously, Final Fantasy V has been ported on PSOne as part of the Final Fantasy Anthology compilation and also on Game Boy Advance. The GBA release is what the smartphone version will be based on.
Final Fantasy V will be released on March 28th for Android and iOS devices for 1,800 yen.
