Disgaea Dimension 2’s Tera Spell Guest Illustrators Revealed

Spell effects in Disgaea games become grand attacks if you can level your way up to "Tera" tier magic. The Star spell above is the first level of magic in Disgaea Dimension 2. Characters can also learn status effect magic like Speed Down and Heal, which restores HP.

Guest illustrators contributed to Disgaea Dimension 2 and created characters that show up when you cast a Tera spell.

Ar tonelico artist nagi created this fairy-like character for Tera Cool. She encases enemies ice before doing a powerful slashing attack that cuts through them.

Goro Suzuki, a fantasy artist made a blazing crimson bird that engulfs the enemies with flames when you cast Tera Fire.

Soji Hisakata, character designer on Gleipnora from Square Enix and Lunvia Saga from GameOn, made Tera Wind’s spell effect. This magic spell summons a gigantic beast swordsman equipped with huge swords that cuts through enemies using wind.

Saku, who was a character designer on Black Robina and is currently card artist for Zillions of Enemy X, designed Tera Heal’s smiling angel. The angel who lives on a sunny beach instantly heals wounded characters.

Cast Tera Star and a huge battleship will bombard enemies, destroying everything in its path. Shishizaru, a character designer on Necromancer Nightmare Reborn from Hudson and Crimson Sea from Koei, came up with this idea.

Disgaea Dimension 2 comes out in North America and Europe this fall for PlayStation 3.
