Beta signups for Phantasy Star Online 2 on the PlayStation Vita kicked off in Japan today. Vita owners have until January 1st, 2013 to register for the beta, which will allow for 50,000 participants.
Users who participate in the beta will receive special items for their services. Sega say that the purpose of the beta is to test server performance and compatibility between the PC and PlayStation Vita versions of the game.
Vita owners can register for the Phantasy Star Online 2 beta from the Japanese PlayStation Store. You’ll also need to register a Sega ID to play the beta.
