Capcom’s foreign social games subsidiary, Beeline Interactive, have acquired the Ghostbusters license to develop a social game based on the Ghostbusters movie.

The game, which is planned for a worldwide release, will allow users to serve as Ghostbusers themselves. The goal will be to drive ghosts out of New York City while upgrading their gear and characters.

The Ghostbusters social game will be released in early 2013 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Capcom say the game is being designed to encourage fathers and sons to play together.
