PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will have free downloadable characters, Sony announced this morning. Kat from Gravity Rush and Emmett Graves from StarHawk will be joining the game early next year.

Kat is described as a character that focuses on aerial assault while Emmett can call down help from the sky. Sony say the two characters have a way to go until they’re ready for release, and haven’t announced an exact release date yet.

Both characters will be downloadable for free for the first two weeks after they are made available, following which you will presumably have to pay to purchase them thereafter.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will be released on November 20th for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
