Another Megami Tensei game is headed to the 3DS Virtual Console in Japan—Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible II for the Game Boy Color is scheduled for release next week on September 12th for 600 yen.

The game’s predecessor, Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible, was actually localized in North America. It was re-titled Revelations: The Demon Slayer, and released on both the Game Boy Color and Game Gear. Had Last Bible II been localized, we’d probably call it Revelations: The Demon Slayer II.

Unlike several of the Shin Megami Tensei games, both of these take place in medieval settings. Additionally, both Last Bible and Last Bible II were actually originally Game Boy titles, and were developed by a company named Multimedia Intelligence Transfer, who also worked on the Devil Children/Demikids games.

Both titles were later remade with updated graphics on the Game Boy Color. A third game, Last Bible III, was released for the Super Famicom.
