Warner Bros. revealed Catwoman is playable character in Injustice: Gods Among Us and while this kitty has claws, can she really stand up to the all-powerful Superman? I asked Ed Boon about the story and how it will compare to Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.

"I think any intellectual property of characters as wide range as Superman and Solomon Grundy and human characters, everyone is going to ask the question why would Superman not beat everyone in a fight? Why would one punch not kill Batman? We will have an explanation in the story will make sense, Boon answered"

"It’s going to be a unified story, for sure. We’re going to have a big cinematic story telling experience where the player participating will get a full explanation of why they’re fighting, what the circumstances is, and the events the players fight in to determine the outcome," Boon added.

I had a chance to play Injustice as Nightwing who has two fighting styles. He can switch between using eskrima (two short sticks) for fast attacks or combine them into a staff to increase his range and do stronger attacks. Nightwing has acrobatic tricks like bouncing off cars in levels (Superman can throw these) and has a pole vault to close distance. He can also create ground skimming projectiles by rubbing the eskrima together and run his opponent over with a motorcycle if you use his super move.
