New Art Academy for the Nintendo 3DS will have a bunch of new features when it releases in Europe later this month, including new drawing and colouring materials and a colour wheel that shows complementary colours, along with the ability to share your creations both via the 3DS’ SwapNote app or via an online 3D gallery (or by pulling it off your SD card).

Something else that the game will have is both free and paid DLC. Nintendo will release bonus additional lessons for New Art Academy once it’s out, which you’ll be able to purchase. They’ll also distribute free extra lessons that you won’t have to pay for.

As previously reported, you’ll be able to create your own lessons as well, which you will also be able to share with other New Art Academy owners. You can watch how this works in the video below.

New Art Academy will be released on July 28th in Europe. It’s headed to North America as well, but a release date for that region hasn’t been announced yet. You can learn more about the software via its official website.
