Sony Computer Entertainment America have registered a domain for ForsakenSoulsTheGame.com, reports Super Annuation. The record for the domain was created on May 11th. Could this perhaps be a localized title for Keiji Inafune’s Soul Sacrifice on the PlayStation Vita?

Soul Sacrifice is a multiplayer Vita game where you play as an enslaved wizard. Teaming up with three other players, you can customize your character, take on quests and do battles with an assortment of gruesome-looking monsters and demons. The catch is that, instead of simply casting spells, you can only perform magic by sacrificing something in return.

Simple spells can be cast by sacrificing items in your possession, but more advanced magic requires you to give up your own body parts. For instance, Excalibur involves crafting a sword out of your own spine. Another spell, Gorgon, requires pulling out your eye to make it shoot laser beams.

Forsaken Souls sounds like it could be a nod to the Demon’s Souls name. In 2009, From Software released the first game in their popular Souls fantasy series, titled Demon’s Souls. While the game was published in North America by Atlus and in Europe by Namco Bandai, the rights to the Demon’s Souls property itself belong to Sony.
