Namco Bandai opened Tales of the World: Dice Adventure up for beta testing and if you missed our previous coverage it’s a board game meets RPG with Tales characters. You can play Tales of the World: Dice Adventure right now and it’s free too. All you need is a Bandai Namco ID and here’s how you can create one. Follow our directions (and crudely red drawn circles) and you’ll be rolling the dice with Yuri in no time.
Step 1: Go to the Tales of the World: Dice Adventure website – https://dice.talesweb.com/index.php and click on login.
If you already have a Bandai Namco ID stop reading this post and type it in. If you don’t click on the giant green button to register a new ID.
Step 2: The terms of service agreement doesn’t say anything about handing over your first child to Namco Bandai, but they request s/he will have a Tales character name on their birth certificate. (We’re kidding!)
Step 3: Give them a working e-mail address since Namco Bandai will e-mail you a link to continue the registration process.
Step 4: Fill out the form. The birthday part got cut off a bit. It’s year (4 digits)/month/day. Your password has to be more than six characters long and contain a number.
Step 5: Confirm your information is correct.
Step 6: Click on Game Start to play Tales of the World: Dice Adventure.
Step 7: Enjoy!
So, how is Namco Bandai going to make money off this browser game? Partially, through snack sales. On May 2, Tales of the World: Dice Adventure wafers – cocoa cream flavor – will be available for 158 yen ($2). Each one contains 1 of 24 cards with a serial code for in-game items.
