Darksiders II has been delayed, THQ announced today in a blog post, citing additional time required for polishing the game and fixing bugs as the reason. The game was originally intended for release in June, but developer, Vigil Games, asked the publisher for more time to wrap up work on the final product.
In a recent interview with Gamasutra, Vigil revealed that 80% of ideas they had for Darksiders II made it into the final game. This is a giant leap over the original Darksiders, where only about 1% of the ideas that were brainstormed made it into the title.
One of these new features is that Darksiders II will feature randomized loot drops, similar to many role-playing games. Death can even gain experience, which you can use to acquire skills that are divided into two categories. Harvenger skills boost his melee abilities, and Necromancer skills focus on summoning the undead.
