Update: Read our hands on impressions of Dragon Ball Z for Kinect here.
I think Microsoft would say something like, "You are the Super Saiyan" if they made a commercial Dragon Ball Z for Kinect. Spike Chunsoft’s yearly Dragon Ball game utilizes the Xbox 360 Kinect sensor and brings your jabs into the game. There are over 100 moves from the anime series to learn like Goku’s Spirit Bomb, Vegeta’s Final Flash, Piccolo’s Special Beam Cannon, and of course the Kamehameha. Dragon Ball Z for Kinect also reads close range attacks like uppercuts, hooks, guard (as if you’re boxing), kicks, and a charge up motion to restore ki.
Dragon Ball Z for Kinect will have over 50 playable characters from the series including: Goku, Piccolo, Krillin, Yamcha, Raditz, Frieza, and a brand new character.
Characters and powerups can be unlocked by scanning 20+ QR codes with the Kinect sensor.
Dragon Ball Z for Kinect will retell the Dragon Ball Z saga, this time from a first person perspective, when Namco Bandai releases the Xbox 360 game in October.
