Japanese blog, My Game News Flash, has posted rumoured trademarks that will be filed by Nintendo and Sony. Most of the Nintendo trademarks pertain to the Brain Age successor (above) that they announced at their last Nintendo Direct event. For this game, they appear to be reserving titles like “Oni Training” and “Demon Training”.

The one trademark that stands out is called The Last Ranger or what looks like the Japanese version, “Saigo no Youjimbou” (The Last Bodyguard). We don’t know what this is, but perhaps there’s a chance it’s connected to the Pokémon Ranger series in some way? If you really want to stretch it…well, there’s this other game with “Last” in the name…

Meanwhile, Sony Computer Entertainment’s trademark is something called “Lord of Sorcery”. Perhaps this pertains to Sorcery, the PlayStation Move game?

Finally, Square Enix have trademarks called: “Gunsuma,” “Ikusa” and “Sen” (using the kanji for war or battle).

Note that these are “rumoured” trademarks. What we mean is, we checked and these trademarks aren’t actually present in the trademark database yet. The next database update will take place on March 21st, so that’s the earliest we’ll find out if these are real.

Finally, one trademark that is real for certain — and this one we found ourselves — is "Nintendo Game Front". Again, we have no idea what this is. Your guess is as good as ours.
