Lollipop Chainsaw, Suda 51’s risqué spiritual successor to No More Heroes has a release date more specific than simply “2012”. Warner Bros. announced today at the Game Developers Conference that the game is scheduled for release in June.

Lollipop Chainsaw isn’t entirely a Suda or Grasshopper Manufacture effort. The game’s characters and story were created by Hollywood Director, James Gunn (Dawn of the Dead). The game stars Juliet Starling, who hails from a family of zombie hunters, answering the call of duty when zombies invade her school.

North America gets Lollipop Chainsaw on June 12th. Europe will see later in the week on June 15th. In North America, you get different bonus outfits for Juliet, depending on where you pre-order the game from.

Slight correction: We said the European date was June 13th. It’s actually June 15th. Whoops!
