Metal Gear Online Goes Offline In June

Konami is pulling the plug on Metal Gear Online. Servers will shut down on June 12, exactly four years after service began. Metal Gear Online’s starter pack was bundled with Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Future expansion packs added characters like Liquid Ocelot, Raiden, and the knife throwing villain Vamp to the game.

Before Metal Gear Online goes dark, Konami will release expansion packs and codec message packs for free on April 24. Users will also be able to get premium items at no cost too. If you haven’t tried Metal Gear Online the last day to sign up for a new character is April 23.
