In addition to a graphic overhaul, New Little King’s Story has touch screen controls. Instead of pointing at troops with a remote you tap the screen to move them and draw a circle to establish a group. The rear touchpad is used for status information. Touch it to see a character’s HP or their job advantages.

While Marvelous AQL is developing the game, New Little King’s Story is funded and produced by Konami. The game came to be due to a licensing deal. New Little King’s Story is slated for release on March 29 in Japan. Konami announced they will bring the game to Europe too, but have not set a release date.
