The Simpsons Arcade Game Has Online Play And Rare Japanese ROM Built In

The Simpsons Arcade Game rises from arcade graveyards and arrives on Xbox Live Arcade on February 3. Konami will release the 1991 game for PlayStation 3 a few days later on February 7.

The news comes with a few screenshots and it looks like The Simpsons Arcade Game is played with a simulated arcade view… but someone for got to add the light blue cabinet art for the borders. The Simpsons Arcade Game supports four player online play and has a few different game modes. You can try to complete the game with one life in survival mode (good luck with that!) or select Free Play to quarter your way to Mr. Burns.

One neat addition is The Simpsons Arcade game includes the Japanese version which players can unlock. Konami also added flyers, posters, and a guide that highlights the various Simpsons characters in the game.
