Resident Evil 6 is coming… soon. Capcom set the game’s release date on November 20 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 with a PC version to follow at a later date.

The story takes place ten years after the Raccoon City incident where Leon Kennedy is working with the President of the United States when he suddenly transforms. Meanwhile, Chris Redfield is in China, which under threat of a bioterrorist attack. Confirming earlier rumors, Leon and Chris will work together for the first time along with new characters.

 

Hiroyuki Kobayashi, producer of Resident Evil 4 and programmer on the original Resident Evil, is leading development of Resident Evil 6 as the executive producer.  “From the outset the team’s intention was to create an experience that delivers a gripping storyline, tense single-player and co-op action all set against a constant theme of horror,” says Kobayashi. “We are calling this fusion dramatic horror and are confident it will resonate with both existing fans of the series as well as newcomers.”
