Uncharted: Golden Abyss is a PlayStation Vita launch title around the world and in the West it will probably be the crown jewel in Sony Computer Entertainment’s Vita line up. Games like Gravity Rush, Dragon’s Crown, and New Little King’s Story caught our eye, but for the mainstream gamer Uncharted: Golden Abyss might be a system seller.

Sony Bend, the team behind the Syphon Filter series and Resistance: Retribution, are developing the game with light touch screen features. Players can slide their finger on a path for Nathan Drake to climb and tilt the Vita to aim. Both Vita specific features are optional. Uncharted: Golden Abyss takes place before Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, the first game in the series. The game will be available on December 17 in Japan and February 22 in North America/Europe.
