Monster Hunter 3G has a Jhen Mohran subspecies that appears when you’re crossing frozen areas. Players will fight this monster variant in a ship armed with a ballista and later on foot. The original Jhen Mohran was introduced in Monster Hunter 3 through an online quest and the creature later appeared in Monster Hunter Portable 3rd (pictured). Famitsu also teases a monster reveal with a silhouette that we think is Deviljho.
The magazine also outlined Monster Hunter 3G’s Streetpass feature. Players can exchange guild cards, which have data such as play time, what quests you cleared, the weapons your hunter has equipped, and a personal message. Hunters you meet through Streetpass will appear inside the pub at Tajima Harbor. For a fee, you can ask "chance hunters" to complete any quest they already did. They’ll return in two minutes and you can claim the quest’s reward. Monster Hunter 3G also has a hunter search feature, which looks for nearby players. Use this and you can see detailed information about those hunters on the bottom screen.
Monster Hunter 3G comes out on December 10 in Japan.
