Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time Has New Characters – Sly’s Ancestors

Sucker Punch is busy with inFamous now, so Ninja Reflex developer Sanzaru Games is handling the Sly Cooper series. They worked on The Sly Cooper Collection and are creating Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time for PlayStation 3.

As the title suggests, time travel is a key gameplay mechanic. In this game, you get to meet Sly’s ancestors and play as them. The first new Cooper Clan character Sony revealed is Rioichi Cooper who was introduced in the very first Sly game. He snuck into castles in Feudal Japan using the ninja spire jump. Thieves in Time gives him a Leaping Dragon technique that lets him scale large distances. After Sly meets Rioichi, he hangs out at the hideout and you can select to play as him at any time.
