Xseed is bringing Fishing Resort overseas on November 22. This title, developed by Yuji Naka’s studio Prope, brings players to a relaxing island where you can spend your days fishing. Or not. Prope created an island to explore, an aquarium to maintain, and mini-games like kayak racing.
"Of course, it’s important to make the fishing accessible, but I also felt making a fun resort was just as important for players to relax and do as they please. Not only did I read a lot of books about fishing, I read a lot of books about running a resort," Naka said in an interview with Siliconera.
Fishing Resort turns the Wii remote into a fishing rod, but if you want an actual fishing rod controller you can get one of those too. The Fishing Resort combo pack includes the game and accessory for $29.99. A standalone copy of the Wii game is $19.99.
