Dragon Quest Goes Topsy Turvy With Super Mario Galaxy Boards In Fortune Street

Nintendo and Square Enix are bringing Mario’s party buddies and the heroes from Dragon Quest together in Fortune Street. While its the first game in the series to be localized in English, Fortune Street has been around since the Famicom days. Enix frequently updates their monopoly style video game with new characters and boards to play on.

 

Fortune Street for Wii has Super Mario Galaxy boards and like Nintendo’s game these a three dimensional, a first for the Itadaki Street series. Starship Mario (left) has a pipe that players take to go to the island. Rotating makes Egg Planet (right) really large and easy for players to walk the wrong direction.

New Dragon Quest maps include the Celestrian homeland Protectorate and Alltrades Abbey (also known as the Temple of Dharma in Japan).

In addition to slimes and birdos, your Mii can be a character in Fortune Street. Miis can dress up as Mario, Roto (the hero from the original Dragon Quest), Princess Peach, or Stella (minus the tan).

Fortune Street comes out on December 5 in North America.
