One of the key features in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance is the ability to control Dream Eaters. These are monsters you fight and team up with. Sora and Riku had two of them in their party during the Tokyo Game Show demo. Press an icon on the touch screen and Dream Eaters can link up for a combination attack.
As seen in the Tokyo Game Show trailer, Dream Eaters can show up in our world via augmented reality and it looks like you can pet them. That’s the happy little pogo puppy Sora uses. Riku’s bat-like Dream Eater is also in the video. Perhaps, Square Enix squeezed an augmented reality pet training mini-game in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance?
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance comes out for Nintendo 3DS in spring 2012 for Japan.
