Capcom is bringing Monster Hunter Tri to the Nintendo 3DS and Monster Hunter 3G of the game has new monsters. Meet Brachdios, a monster that hangs out in volcanoes waiting for advanced players to challenge it.
Monster Hunter 3G has the Plesioth (aka Gantotsu in Japan) and this time you’ll be able to fight it underwater.
Rathian and Rathalos subspecies are also in Monster Hunter 3G.
Just like Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, Monster Hunter 3G will have twelve different weapons. The Gun Lance, Hunting Flute, and Dual Swords are confirmed for the Nintendo 3DS game.
The game’s controls are designed to be like standard Monster Hunter games where you use the circle pad to move and buttons to attack. With the extra analog attachment, Monster Hunter 3G should feel closer to a console game.
Capcom did add some custom controls to Monster Hunter 3G. The panel customize system allows players to create touch screen shortcuts on the bottom screen. One panel is "camera target", which makes the L-button automatically locks on to the largest monster. Capcom believes this will be helpful for beginners.
Monster Hunter 3G will be playable at Tokyo Game Show (if you’re lucky enough to get a ticket to play it!). The Nintendo 3DS game is slated for release later this year in Japan.
