Later this month, the first PSP remaster series game will be available in Japan. Capcom will release Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD Ver., a PlayStation 3 version with enhanced graphics and support for stereoscopic 3D TVs. Sony Computer Entertainment America have God of War Origins Collection, a compilation of Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta, slated for release in September.

Since Nippon Ichi has a number of PSP games I asked Souhei Niikawa, president of Nippon Ichi Software, what he thinks about the PSP to PlayStation 3 remaster program.

"We’re looking into it right now," said Niikawa in a Siliconera interview. "We’re investigating how the feature works and learning about the system. We’re happy about it too because we have a strong lineup on the PSP and we would like to change that to PS3, so we can have a wider audience."

In an earlier interview Haru Akenaga, president of NIS America, revealed to Siliconera they were trying to release Z.H.P. Unlosing Ranger vs. Darkdeath Evilman as a PlayStation 3 title in North America. Nippon Ichi also has a handful of Japan-only PSP games like Blue Roses: The Fairy and the Blue Eyed Warriors and La Pucelle Ragnarok which could be remaster series candidates. Is there any particular Nippon Ichi title you would like to see on PlayStation 3?
