The real world is like our world today, except with more advanced technology and a giant tower in the center of the main character’s city. A screenshot shows him riding a moped on the street. After an incident, the protagonist has to give up is motorbike riding hobby since he finds himself lost in the digital world.

Lights from open stores illuminate the digital world’s bustling city. There’s a tower in the world too, which could be the link between the two worlds. The main character has a gadget on his shoulder that allows him to interact with Digimon. Agumon follows the protagonist around and he can evolve into GeoGreymon.

Namco Bandai hired Suzuhito Yasuda who worked as an artist on Durarara!! to make the characters for Digimon World Re:Digitize. Since he and the main character from Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor both summon creatures, I suppose they could be friends or rivals in the Yasudaverse.

Digimon World Re:Digitize is slated for release on PSP next year.
