Our first reveal didn’t do Project Dropship justice. The space-western meets Smash TV style shooter was considerably far into development and we have screenshots from a prototype version of the game.

Each character has weapons like laser guns and rifles. Turrets are scattered through levels, which you can take control of and use to blast giant space worms. You can’t see it in these screenshots, but characters can jump too.

One neat effect is a creature who looks like a cousin from Darius flies appears in the background.

Project Dropship was slated for release as a downloadable game for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.
