Tecmo Koei has two reworked Warriors games on the way. Dynasty Warriors 7 Special brings the elephant riding (seriously, you can ride an elephant) melee game to PSP. Changes in this installment include weapon switching, double musou bars, and a fourth faction – the Jin. Games with "special" at the end denote a downport, a trend that started with Dynasty Warriors 6 Special for the PlayStation 2. In North America, the game was released simply as Dynasty Warriors 6.

Famitsu also confirmed Samurai Warriors 3 Empires is indeed in development. The PlayStation 3 game has forty characters from the Japan-only Samurai Warriors 3Z and 600 additional commanders. Players will be able to create their own character using an in-game editor and download additional scenarios from PSN.

Dynasty Warriors 7 Special and Samurai Warriors 3 Empires are slated fro August 25 in Japan.
