Arc System Works released their Version 1.03 update to BlazBlue: Continuum Shift on the Xbox 360 in Japan today. The patch balances the game to the latest version of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II, which is currently exclusive to arcades, the PSP and the Nintendo 3DS.

Along with the balance patch also comes the Platinum the Trinity character, which is sold separately as downloadable content. While the PlayStation 3 version of the patch will release on May 12th, the Platinum the Trinity DLC won’t be available, due to the PlayStation Network outage. It’s unclear how Arc System Works will be able to release the balancing patch since PSN is still down as of this post.

You can watch a trailer for the Platinum the Trinity patch above, read up on a list of changes the patch makes in this post. Aksys will release the patch in the U.S. sometime this month, too.

Update: Spencer here, ah I didn’t realize the patches were on a different server. At least everyone playing BlazBlue: Continuum Shift on PS3 will be able to practice playing with the balancing patch offline.
