Dragon’s Dogma, Capcom’s upcoming action RPG, let’s players make a character and choose a class before exploring the world. The first three classes Capcom revealed are fighter, strider, and mage. No, not that Strider.
Equipped with a sword and armor, fighters are skilled at close range combat. Through intensive training, fighters tempered their bodies into deadly weapons.
Striders are speedy and quick-witted characters agile enough to leap around gigantic monsters. In battle, they prefer to keep their distance by using a bow to fight.
Masters of the mysterious arts, mages use magic to fight. Players will need to adapt to situations and use different spells depending on what kinds of monsters are in the area.
In Dragon’s Dogma, your character is part of a three man squad, which means its possible to have all three of these archetypes while playing the game. Before you start planning your party please note, Capcom has more classes to reveal. Dragon’s Dogma is scheduled to come out in early 2012 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
