Lufia & The Fortress Of Doom & The Virtual Console Re-Release

Square Enix is planning on re-releasing the Super Nintendo RPG Lufia & The Fortress of Doom as a Virtual Console download. The game just popped up in the ESRB listed as a Wii game.

Lufia & The Fortress of Doom is the game that started the Lufia series and introduces the main characters in Lufia II: Rise/Curse of the Sinistrals. You play as their descendants and have to face the Sinistrals decades after Maxim defeated them. Although, at this point you wouldn’t know that.

A release date has not been announce, but since the ESRB outed Lufia & The Fortress of Doom it should be available soon. And that means a new generation of gamers will learn about managing characters who purposely swing at air and miss if a monster is already defeated.
