The Grinder Is Waiting For A Publisher, Final Product Could Have RPG Elements

When I saw High Voltage Software’s Conduit 3DS tech demo I asked what happened to The Grinder. This supernatural first person shooter for Wii  has humans hunting monsters like zombies and vampires on Earth. PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 ports were announced at Game Developer’s Conference… 2010 where The Grinder would be a third person shooter.

The Grinder wasn’t on display because the game is in "vertical slice status," Eric Stoli, Level Designer, explained. Since High Voltage Software is still searching for a publisher the studio is waiting to see if they will need to change The Grinder by making it more action packed or perhaps adding RPG elements. Stoli specifically mentioned those points, the latter of which surprised me.

 

Sega picked up Gladiator AD, but not the blood and gore. That 300 inspired fighting game eventually became Tournament of Legends.
