Atlus’ enhanced port of Devil Survivor for the Nintendo 3DS, titled Devil Survivor Overclocked, adds voiced dialogue to the game and an eighth day at the end of the original seven day period over which the game plays out.
Devil Survivor Overclocked has 20,000 words worth of voiced dialogue. The game’s official site reveals that the first seven days of Devil Survivor take up 15,000, which means 1/4th of the voices are dedicated to the eighth day alone.
Surprisingly, this is apparently the highest amount of voiced dialogue in Atlus history. The development team is concerned that with so much recorded dialogue to accommodate, the game won’t fit onto the cartridge or that they won’t be done recording the voices in time.
Devil Survivor Overclocked is getting a mighty quick localization as well, voiced dialogue and all. Atlus USA have the game scheduled to release in Summer. You can find samples of the English voices over on the game’s U.S. website.
