SNK is mum about plans to bring NeoGeo Heroes: Ultimate Shooting overseas, but Germany’s rating board and now the ESRB poiled their surprise.
Now, we even have a sample of the game’s English localized text, thanks to the ESRB description. Let’s take a look.
This is an arcade-style shooter in which players control characters that fly through scrolling landscapes and battle various enemies. Players fire small projectiles (e.g., missiles, lasers, fireballs) at waves of enemy ships and human bosses; characters cry out when hit, and defeated enemies disappear in brief bursts of light. A picture gallery and some cutscenes depict females characters wearing revealing outfits that expose cleavage and portions of their buttocks. The dialogue contains some suggestive material (e.g., "I’ll stay here and ogle you for a while," "Are you some kind of pervert?" and "I wouldn’t want to be the kind of girl who has nothing to show for herself but cleavage."). The word "sh*t" also appears in dialogue.
NeoGeo Heroes: Ultimate Shooting is similar to KOF SkyStage, it even has a PSP port of that game inside. The difference is this vertically scrolling shooter has a number of SNK characters like Marco who aren’t King of Fighters stars.
