While Phoenix makes his return in Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Capcom (sans Level 5) are also publishing Ace Attorney Investigations 2, which reunites Edgeworth, Gumshoe and Kay for another adventure together.
Investigations 2 is being prepared for February 3rd, 2011 release in Japan, and will come in three variants, excluding the standard edition for 5,040 yen that contains just the game:
Collector’s Pack:
The Ace Attorney Investigations 2 Collector’s Pack comes with the game, an 11-track soundtrack CD containing orchestrated music by series composer, Noriyuki Iwadare, and a special promo DVD, which contains footage of the game shown off at the Tokyo Game Show.
Additionally, the Collector’s Package will also include a booklet with an original manga penned by character designer, Tatsuro Iwamoto. It’ll set you back 6,090 yen.
Extended Edition:
The Extended Edition of the game includes the game itself, and a 4-inch-tall (approx.) figure of Miles Edgeworth. Production of the figure was supervised by Capcom staff to ensure accuracy. This edition comes in at 7,140 yen.
Limited Edition:
And finally, the Limited Edition includes all of the above, and is the most expensive at 8,000 yen.
