Tokyo based Alphaunit jumped right into the Nintendo DSi with the first Japanese developed and published DSi exclusive. It’s called Monster Finder in the Land of the Rising Sun, better known as Foto Showdown in the West. That’s the name Konami gave the camera capturing monster catching game when they brought Monster Finder overseas.
So, it’s not too much of a surprise to see Alphaunit jump on the Nintendo 3DS bandwagon. Details about their first 3DS game have not been announced, but Famitsu says its a "SRPG" (temporary title). SRPG could mean "strategy RPG" or "simulation RPG."
Either way, we’re talking about a game with tactical battles and probably some kind of grid system in 3D.
Aside from Monster Finder, Alphaunit developed the quirky music game Rhythm de Run Run and Batting Revolution also known as The Cages. Hmm… so far Konami brought two of Alphaunit’s lineup to North America. Perhaps, we’ll see this enigmatic game too.
