Way before Wolf Team started work on the Tales series they developed a horror adventure game for PCs. Tokyo Twilight Busters was one of their earlier games, which begins with the main character searching for his missing archeologist father.
Tokyo Twilight Busters has players search for clues by tapping the touch screen (the PC game used a mouse), but as a twist the game takes place in real-time. If you don’t find clues within a certain amount of time the game can end. Also, Tokyo Twilight Busters has battles where you and the party you formed from completing sub-stories select items for fight sequences.
Here’s a look at the original game.
And the Nintendo DS remake handled by Starfish. Notice the map on the top screen? That’s a new feature that saves players from hand drawing maps on graph paper.
