The most useful PSPgo feature is, perhaps, the ability to play PSP games with a PS3 controller. It works wonders when playing a PSP game on a TV, but let’s imagine for a moment you don’t have a TV nearby (Acela train to Boston?) and still want to use a Dualshock 3 to play Peace Walker. Gametech’s Bear has a solution for you.
The accessory maker is taking pre-orders for a PSPgo controller holder that physically links a PSPgo to a Dualshock 3. You still have to use a Bluetooth connection to transfer button presses to the game. The controller holder just holds both devices in place. Gametech’s accessory is reminiscent of a patent application filed by Sony Computer Entertainment that actually connects a regular PSP to a PS3 controller that has so far been unused.
Gametech plans to sell the controller holder in Japan by the end of this year for 2,980 yen ($36).
