A job listing on Gamasutra tells us that Crystal Dynamics are hiring a new creative director to lead the overall vision on a “triple-A action adventure title.” The listing requires that they have seven years of experience and 3-5 titles under their belt, that they were involved in in a leadership position.
In addition to providing ongoing support for Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light — the PC and Playstation Network versions of which release tomorrow — it’s hard to tell just how many titles Crystal Dynamics are working on at present.
We know for a fact they were working on two games back in March 2010, with the second one possibly being a new Tomb Raider game.
However, whether this action adventure title is the second project or if a third one has been kicked off, now that the Guardian of Light team has been freed up, we’re not sure of. For what it’s worth, recent rumours have the next Tomb Raider playing out in Japan.
