Gas Powered Games and Square Enix have another project. Supreme Commander III? Close! It’s Dungeon Siege III.
While Gas Powered Games, the creators Dungeon Siege series, is involved, they aren’t developing it. Obsidian Entertainment, the developer of Alpha Protocol and Fallout: New Vegas, is handling Dungeon Siege III. Gas Powered Games will supervise development and Square Enix will act as the games publisher. This will be Square Enix’s first time working with Obsidian Entertainment.
And the first time a main entry in the Dungeon Siege series has been made for consoles. Dungeon Siege III is being made for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. The game will have online multiplayer, customizable characters, and a story where the environment changes depending on your choices.
Surely, this must be the knocks-your-socks off game Dave Hoffman, Director of Business Development, was teasing over Twitter. Hoffman was also involved with Supreme Commander II another Square Enix project.
We’ll be seeing Dungeon Siege III next week at E3. So, if there’s anything you want to know about it post your question(s) in the comments.
