In addition to Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love, PlayStation 2 might have another game to look forward to. SNK Arcade Classics 0 is also coming to the PS2.
Well, maybe. SNK still hasn’t announced SNK Arcade Classics 0, but the ESRB re-rated it as a PlayStation 2 and PSP title. The rating was previously listed Arcade Classics 0 only as a PSP game.
Expect a compilation of 20 arcade games. Search and Rescue is definitely in since it’s the reason why the game got rated M. The other 19 games are anyone’s guess, but the ESRB gives us some clues.
This is a collection of 20 classic arcade games comprising several distinct genres: action, fighting, sports (baseball, football, Olympics), shooting, platforming. Some games involve side-scrolling fighting action against hordes of enemy thugs, soldiers, and creatures; players can use knives, guns, flamethrowers, tanks, and grenades when engaging in the 2D-style combat.
More puzzling than the games is the publisher. Apparently, SNK is self publishing SNK Arcade Classics 0 in North America.
